AT HOME - INDOORS OR OUT - ALEXANDER ROSE LAUNCHES ITS SOLARIS FURNITURE COLLECTION FOR 2008
Whether in a traditional or contemporary style of house or apartment, modern day living increasingly fuses ‘indoors’ with ‘outdoors’, especially as our climate gets warmer.

Right for any weather and easy to cleanPerfect for the vagaries of our changing weather patterns - from intense heat in the spring, downpours in August and Indian summers well into early autumn - the Solaris range is both weatherproof and UV-resistant, so it won’t fade in bright sunlight.
Using carefully hand woven German made Hularo® synthetic fibre over a satin finished galvanised steel frame, the furniture is also washable and colourfast, and durable in all temperatures.
Maintenance free, Solaris will give years of use, and is fully recyclable so also environmentally friendly.
Prices start at around £80 for the Comet side chair to around £1,100 for the Orion lounger sofa.

A simple yet elegant design, this everyday chair is perfect for casual dining inside or out, and is available in a choice of three colours.
SaturnA high backed dining chair for the modern kitchen, dining room or patio, Saturn comes with or without arms. A choice of colours and seat cushions are available.
PlutoAvailable in two styles, Pluto comes as a normal dining chair with a seat height of 45cm, and a ‘high’ chair with a seat height of 75cm - perfect for a breakfast bar, barbecue area or outside bar. A choice of colours and seat cushions is available.
LunaPerfect for relaxed dining on the patio or by the pool, this round backed chair is comfortable yet practical for ‘not a care in the world’ al fresco entertaining.
ParisPerfect for the kitchen. Aesthetically stylish, comfortable and practical, the Paris line of Solaris furniture is resistant to oil, butter, red wine, fruit juice and even children’s sticky fingers!
VenusThis relaxed, rattan style range of dining chairs looks just as good indoors as out - so much so that it can be used inside all year round and taken outside on sunny days and balmy evenings.
AtheneJust right for when the living is easy! Relaxed, comfortable and suitable for casual dining or simply lounging around.
MercuryMercury comes as a single high backed chair or a two-seater sofa. A matching coffee table in two sizes - 40cm x 45cm or 60cm x 100cm - is also available.
MarsThe Mars sun lounger is just the ticket for some serious yet comfortable sunbathing. The aluminium wheels make it easy to position Mars in just the right aspect to the sun and the back is fully adjustable so you can sit up and read, or lie flat to soak up the rays.
HelenaYou can really make a design statement while relaxing on this truly stunning lounger, especially when combined with the unusual palm-shaped Umbriel sunshade. Fabric headrest cushions are available in a choice of colours and designs. Helena comes with wheels for easy manoeuvrability.
OrionIdeal for the conservatory or summerhouse, Orion is a large sitting room sized range comprising a chair, three-seater sofa and glass topped side table in a choice of black or brown.
The chair and sofa feature large comfortable cushions made from Italian fabric that is Teflon treated so highly durable and resistant to oil and water. The cushion covers are removable for washing.
TablesThere are five table styles to choose from - Jupiter, Mercury, Helios, Uranus and Atlas, and 34 different options that include square, rectangular and round, heights of 50cm, 70cm and 73cm with the option of hardened glass, real granite, Versalit or marble table tops.
AccessoriesUmbriel - a stunning Egyptian palm shaped umbrella that stands 235cm high.
Orion - a low (40cm) occasional glass or Versalit topped table.
Ozon - a three level storage unit.
Metis - a discrete storage box for keeping drinks, books, papers or swimming accessories safe and tidy, especially in a breeze.
Space - a discrete divider unit for screening or decorating areas such as a balcony or patio. It also includes a plant pot holder.
Pluto - a bar, serving shelf and storage unit to complement Pluto chairs.
Titan - a wheeled storage unit that also accommodates three Metis storage boxes.
