KAYABA BOUNCES INTO 2003 WITH BOOST FOR COIL SPRINGS
Kayaba has further developed its K-Flex replacement coil spring range with more than 680 new applications for 2003.
To accommodate these new applications, an all-new 124-page catalogue has just been launched, and for ease of use, follows the same format as the Kayaba shock absorber catalogue.
The new product line-up includes applications for a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) - from an Alfa Romeo GTV to a Volkswagen Vento.
As well as the pages detailing the coil springs appropriate for each vehicle make, model and year of manufacture, the catalogue also includes advice on coil spring types (parallel, pigtail, double pigtail, funnel and barrel), spring replacement and safety hints.
KYB K-Flex coil springs are manufactured to OE standards and go through several critical stages of manufacture, which many aftermarket suppliers do not follow in order to save money and manufacturing time. There are numerous different spring shapes and wire diameters, and are available in ‘normal’ or ‘heavy duty’ for front and rear axles, according to the vehicle’s original specification. The K-Flex range also includes the tapered wire and minibloc type of spring.
Commented Tony Parr, assistant general manager of Kayaba UK: "Following a detailed study of the aftermarket we have now considerably improved the competitiveness of our product pricing.
"We are committed to developing Kayaba to become the UK’s leading vehicle suspension specialist, complete with a portfolio of world class suspension products under the KYB brand. That means giving our customers the best product, at the best price and backed-up by the best service.
"This further range extension consolidates our development plans, and helps to provide our distributors and their installer customers with a wholly reliable one-stop solution," he added.
Kayaba is the world’s largest supplier of shock absorbers to original equipment (OE) vehicle manufacturers, and offers five types of shock absorber to the European aftermarket: Premium, Excel-G, Gas-A-Just, Ultra SR and AGX. The KYB product portfolio also includes protection kits; suspension mounting kits, and K-Force lowering kits, as well as K-Flex coil springs.
The new K-Flex coil spring catalogue is available to workshops through a network of independent distributors. Call 01925 417444 or visit
