Shock absorber and suspension component company, Kayaba UK - one of five subsidiaries of Kayaba Europe - has appointed Ormond Howlett to the position of business manager.

Ormond, 29, joins Kayaba from Stanley Tools, where he worked his way up from sales representative to key account manager. His role involved looking after wholesale distributors and key accounts in both trade and retail channels. Before that he worked in electrical retail and was based in Scotland.

Ormond will be responsible for covering the North East and North Midlands for Kayaba; he lives in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
