KAYABA WINS GENERAL MOTORS BEST SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Kayaba Industry has won the industry accolade of Best Supplier of the Year 2003, for its contributions to the corporate activities of General Motors (GM) and its subsidiaries.
Awards were also given across six different categories – chemical, electric, fuel, machinery, metal and logistics, with Kayaba Industry winning a prize in the metal category for significant cost reductions to its hydraulic power steering pumps for the Suzuki Vitara.
The awards were held at GM’s excellent suppliers’ meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, and were attended by senior staff from GM’s world headquarters and regional companies.
Mr Kato, Assistant General Manager for Kayaba Europe, said: "Receiving such awards from major manufacturers proves that we are researching and developing the products they need and we look forward to continuing to support GM in the future."
