NAUTILUS MD PROMOTED TO KEY INTERNATIONAL POSITION
Nautilus - the world’s largest fitness company - has promoted UK managing director, Andrew Dick, to a new international role as vice president - distributor business.
In his new role, Andy will be responsible for developing the company’s distributor business throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia. He takes over the position from Jim Teatum, who will now open up new markets for Nautilus around the world as vice president - new business development international.
Andy, 42, will be in charge of commercial, retail and direct distributors in over 60 countries worldwide for the company’s leading brands, which include Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn, Trimline and StairMaster.
Said Andy: "This new position is a fantastic opportunity to further develop our international business, this is truly an exciting time for our company."
"We have some of the best fitness products in the world and there are new product innovations just around the corner. I will be using my experience to further expand international sales - particularly across the retail and direct sectors which offer fantastic opportunities for further growth."
Andy will now operate from the UK and the company’s international base in Givisiez, Switzerland, as well as making frequent trips to visit his new territory managers and distributors around the globe.
Prior to his appointment as managing director for Nautilus UK, Andy spent three years as the sales manager for StairMaster. Since Andy began his career in the fitness industry, he has worked in all sectors of the business from the supplier side to managing private and local authority clubs.
"My breadth of experience has given me a great understanding of all aspects of distributor business and I now look forward to applying this on an international level," he added.
Nautilus worldwide net sales totalled $523,837 million in 2004.
