Nautilus - the world’s largest fitness company - has announced the appointment of Steve Carter as its new UK managing director*. He takes over the top seat from Andrew Dick following his promotion to a new international role as vice president - distributor business.

Steve has a wealth of experience in the health and fitness industry and a successful track record across commercial, retail and direct sales channels. He was previously sales director of Cybex International UK.

In his new role Steve, 36, will be responsible for further expanding commercial, retail and direct sales for Nautilus in the UK and building its brands, which include Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn and StairMaster.

Said Steve: "I see my new role as a fantastic opportunity to build our brands across all sectors in the UK. The company’s extensive product range is uniquely placed and can match the fitness level of any consumer, as well as any size and level of commercial operation.

Prior to working for Cybex, Steve spent five years as a key account manager for Icon Health & Fitness, where he worked with some of the UK’s largest retailers. Steve has also worked for Forza Fitness where he was responsible for the direct marketing of products to consumers.

Nautilus worldwide net sales totalled $523,837 million in 2004.
