C2 sites now sought in the South East and Home Counties
Richmond Villages, which develops and operates premium quality retirement villages in the UK, has now launched its latest village at Painswick in the Cotswolds. The striking new buildings comprise nursing accommodation and serviced apartments, plus a variety of first class facilities that include a superb restaurant and a wellness spa with swimming pool, treatment rooms and a gymnasium.
Richmond Painswick now offers three retirement living options - care apartments, nursing beds and independent living apartments. There are 80 units with exceptional levels of care available throughout.
This is the third care village to open, with a fourth at Northampton scheduled to welcome its first residents later this year. Construction work is already underway at a location near Wallingford in Oxfordshire, and a further six sites are at various stages of planning - see note below.
Robin Hughes, development director of Richmond Villages, says: “Our retirement care villages are designed to cater for the varying needs of the retired and elderly, and with the changing demographics resulting from people living longer very much in mind.
“We recognise that many people are still very fit when they retire and simply want somewhere safe and secure to live, complete with great facilities, and where they can have access to assistance in the future should they need it.”
Continues Robin: “We are now gearing-up for the next level of growth, and with a good base covering Cheshire, the Midlands and now Gloucestershire, are actively seeking new sites in the more affluent parts of the South East and Home Counties.
“We are targeting sites of around five acres, either with existing C2 or with C2 potential.”
