RICHMOND VILLAGES OPENS THE DOOR TO LUXURY RETIREMENT LIVING IN NORTHAMPTON
Richmond Villages, developers and operators of luxury retirement villages across the UK, has opened the sales suite at its much anticipated development in Northampton.
To mark the occasion, the company held two open days at the Marriott Hotel, where members of the public could view plans and computer generated images of the retirement village. Keith Cockell, managing director of Richmond Villages, was on hand to answer questions about the development, the first stage of which is due to open in October next year.
The village will be constructed in a distinctive New England architectural style and will offer three different levels of accommodation: independent village apartments for people aged from 55 with assistance and care services available as required; one and two bedroom serviced apartments for those requiring more help; and close care bedrooms for residents in need of 24 hour care.
Mr Cockell said: “Northampton will soon be offering its residents the same vibrant and supportive community we see at all our villages. With a choice of accommodation, and a range of facilities and social activities that are second to none, we believe that this is retirement living at its best.
“The response to our recent public open days has been excellent; we’ve had more than 100 people through the door and the first few independent village apartments have already been sold. The feedback has been fantastic.”
Richmond Villages invited Care Fees Investment Limited to attend the open days, to offer advice on the financial issues that many people face when approaching retirement age. Financial advisors explained a number of options to those interested in purchasing a property within the retirement village, to help them achieve the retirement lifestyle and care they are aiming for.
Prices for properties at Richmond Northampton start at £147,000, with these available for purchase off – plan. The sales centre is now open on the site at Grange Park, Monday to Friday from 11.00am – 3.00pm; this will soon be extended to seven days a week. The show apartment will be available to view early next year.
