SONGS ON SUNDAY - AT RICHMOND NORTHAMPTON
Residents of Richmond Northampton retirement village in Grange Park participated in an enthusiastic sing song at their music festival, when the cast from the Inflatable Theatre Company staged an affectionate tribute to the 'good old days' during two hours of Old Time Music Hall.
As well as all the favourite sing-alongs, the Music Hall also included magic turns, a tightrope walker and some ballet. During the afternoon, residents also enjoyed a piano recital by local musician Sarah Palmer, and a rendition of rat pack style songs, by husband and wife duo, Zing. And to enhance the day's festivities, there was also a selection of craft stalls to browse, as well as a buffet lunch and afternoon tea.
Bridget Penney, village manager of Richmond Northampton, said: “Events like this provide an ideal opportunity for all the residents to get together socially, and the music festival was eagerly awaited. All the musicians were outstanding and everyone had a brilliant time - I'm sure it will become an annual highlight from now on.”
