Richmond Letcombe Regis, a £60 million retirement village near Wantage, is proving a big success with 23 homes within the development already sold off-plan ahead of the February 2010 opening.

The development is being built and operated by award-winning Richmond Villages which, in response to growing interest in the scheme, will hold an Open Day at the new retirement village on 6th December from 10am to 4pm.  Prospective buyers will have the chance to talk to the company’s directors and staff, including the village manager and domiciliary care manager.

Richmond Letcombe Regis is the only retirement village of its type in Oxfordshire and addresses a real demand for more choice when it comes to living arrangements for the over 55s.

The village offers two types of new homes for sale.  Independent Living Apartments are ideal for those who can live independently, but like the idea of being in a safe and sociable community where care and assistance are close at hand if needed.  These large apartments have a kitchen, living room and one or two bedrooms, with an en suite to the main bedroom.  Assisted Living Apartments are great for those who still want their own front door but who require some help with daily living; these include a spacious living room, kitchenette, one or two bedrooms and an en suite shower-room.

Paddy Brice, managing director of Richmond Villages, says:  “While the buyers are attracted to the apartments themselves, it is the whole package that is really important to them.  We have our own on-site domiciliary care team which provides as much or as little help as is needed 24 hours a day.  While those in the Independent Apartments may not need assistance, they enjoy being part of a vibrant community where facilities such as the wellness spa and our excellent restaurant are second to none.  We also have an impressive care home at the heart of the village.”

Those who have already bought an apartment at Richmond Letcombe Regis will be moving from a variety of locations including Aldershot, Andover, Bath, Bicester, Bridgewater, central London, Cirencester, Devizes, Kidderminster, Midhurst, Newbury, Northampton, Oxford, Reading, Wallingford Wantage and Welwyn Garden City.

Independent Living Apartments are priced from £295,000 (with one bedroom), Assisted Living Apartments are priced from £240,000 (with one bedroom).  Telephone 01235 773970 or visit www.richmond-villages.com
