AN INVITATION TO SEE INTO THE FUTURE
Richmond retirement village in Painswick is opening its doors to the public on Saturday 28 June, between 10am and 4pm, offering visitors an opportunity to see the future of retirement living.
Richmond Villages has created a number of caring communities for older people around the country, and with more in the pipeline, is developing a whole new concept in retirement living. All the villages – including Richmond Painswick – are a far cry from the conventional image of a retirement home, which perhaps has negative connotations. These purpose built, award winning¹ homes, which offer high quality care and luxurious accommodation, are a much awaited alternative to the 'norm'.
Susie Oakley, manager of Richmond Painswick, said: “Our fantastic facilities, coupled with a full diary of social events, provide a vibrant atmosphere where our residents can feel happy and fulfilled – a very different picture of a retirement home to that often imagined.”
Painswick is the latest Richmond development and is the jewel in its crown. Visitors will be able to see for themselves the deluxe serviced apartments. Living in a serviced apartment allows residents to maintain their independence by owning the property and having their own front door, but they can relax knowing that all daily chores such as cooking, cleaning and laundry are taken care of. ‘Assisted living’ includes all meals and drinks, and residents have free use of all village facilities, yet still enjoy the privacy of their own ‘home’.
Built in mellow Cotswold stone, the apartments feature sumptuous carpets and décor throughout, and are appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings. The whole development has been designed to offer wonderful views of the surrounding Cotswold countryside.
Visitors will also be able to look round Richmond Painswick's state-of-the art nursing home which can provide long or short stay care, 24 hours a day, by qualified, experienced staff.
Richmond Painswick is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the southern slopes of this historic Cotswold village, within easy reach of Cheltenham, Gloucester and Cirencester. With its meticulously maintained landscaped gardens, the environment offers peace, security and a sense of community to residents. The superb facilities include a stunning roof top restaurant, library, shop and its own Wellness Spa – a complex which boasts gymnasium, swimming pool and treatment areas for both hair and beauty. Vehicles with full time drivers are also on hand for regular scheduled outings and shopping trips.
Anyone is welcome at the Open Day on 28 June (no appointment necessary), or for further information about Richmond Painswick, visit the Richmond Villages website at www.richmond-villages.com or telephone: 01452 813902.
