THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

The annual music festival at Richmond retirement village in Nantwich was a huge hit - and pictured here, enjoying music played by Charlie Copestake of the Versatile Concert Orchestra, are village residents Joyce Cook and Stanley Brookshaw.

By popular request, this year's event took place on Saturday evening, as well as Sunday afternoon, and was well attended by residents and the general public.  The event, billed as an eclectic mix of performers, included the Eric Newton Jazz Quartet, the Versatile Concert Orchestra and the Wistaston Singers, as well as a piano recital, folk group and a family instrumental group.

John McWhan, chairman of the Friends of Richmond Village, organises the event every year.  He says: “This year's music festival was probably the best ever.  The additional Saturday evening performance went down very well and everyone had a brilliant time.  Events like these bring people together, offering residents an opportunity to gather socially and interact with a wider community.”

Situated on the edge of Nantwich, the retirement village offers a range of retirement homes including luxury village apartments, serviced apartments and care bedrooms, providing residents with different levels of independence to suit all needs.  Tudor style properties are built around the bowling green, courtyard and award-winning landscaped gardens.  The environment offers peace, security and a sense of community to residents, combined with superb facilities including a restaurant, shop and hair and beauty salon.
