Councillor Julie Jackson, Mayor of Nuneaton & Bedworth, attends special open day at Richmond Coventry Retirement Village

Councillor Julie Jackson, Mayor of Nuneaton & Bedworth, visited Richmond Coventry retirement village last week as part of a special open day.

She was greeted and shown around by Keith Cockell, founder and managing director of Richmond Villages.

The open day was organised to show the alternatives available to ‘conventional’ care homes, and to build working relationships with local health care professionals.

Over 40 visitors attended the event including local solicitors, doctors and groups such as the Rowan Organisation and the Older People Forum.

Richmond Coventry offers a broad range of services and accommodation for those seeking independent living, short term convalescence or respite care and extra care within serviced apartments - where care packages are tailored to suit individual needs. 24-hour nursing is also available within the care centre.

The development is set amidst five acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.  Facilities include a bowling green, a shop, hairdressing salon, library, two restaurants offering contemporary and traditional cuisine.  The village also offers a variety of social activities, from the supper club – which meets regularly for a meal and an evening of entertainment – to crossword mornings and bridge evenings.

The sales office at Richmond Coventry is open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday. Telephone 0845 607 6405.  Show apartments are available for viewing and guest accommodation can be provided to prospective buyers traveling long distances.  E-mail: info@richmond-villages.com or visit the website www.richmond-villages.com
