The convenient location of this retirement village near Wantage, just ten miles north of junction 14 on the M4, makes it easily accessible for those living near Newbury, Oxford, Reading, Swindon and West London.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, nestling beneath the Ridgeway and just a few miles from the ancient White Horse chalk carving, the new village has been designed to complement the vernacular of the South Oxfordshire/Berkshire border.  The buildings are finished in a traditional, warm and welcoming dark brick and flint style, with the whole site enjoying a rural location with landscaped gardens, a meadow with a nature trail, a large lake and a brook.  This nature reserve will have disabled access and is being managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust; it will also be open to the public.

Independent living apartments are large apartments (c 1000 sq ft) with a kitchen, living room and one or two bedrooms, with an en suite to the main bedroom.

Assisted living apartments (c 500 – 1400 sq ft) have a living room, kitchenette, one or two bedrooms (some have a separate entrance should a spouse require more assistance than the other – this allows the well spouse a good night’s sleep without being disturbed, for example), and an en suite shower room.

Caring and nursing:
Richmond Villages’ own on-site domiciliary care team provides personal care to those living in the independent living apartments and assisted living apartments 24 hours a day.  Nursing and dementia care is provided in the care home which is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.

Food and nutrition
The nutritional requirements of all residents are carefully considered with quality paramount.  Richmond Villages’ restaurants are on a par with a luxury hotel.

Social life and activities
Richmond Letcombe Regis has an activities coordinator who will arrange a wide variety of activities, events and outings; a full-time driver is available for scheduled trips.  Local people in Letcombe Regis can use the facilities within the retirement village and are encouraged to join clubs to promote a good social life and friendships.

Facilities
Facilities available to all residents include a wellness spa with a swimming pool, gym, health and beauty treatment rooms and a hair salon.  Other facilities include a restaurant, IT and crafts room, library and a bowling green.  Guest suites are available for visiting relatives.
