Richmond Villages Gets Gold in ‘Nuneaton and Bedworth in Bloom’ Awards

Richmond Coventry retirement village has been awarded first place for the second year running in this year’s Bedworth and Nuneaton in Bloom awards.

The gardens at Richmond Coventry impressed the judges and won the award for ‘Best (private) Residential Home’ in the Beautiful Business category.

The five acres of grounds and landscaped gardens at the village are kept looking their best by gardeners Neil Claybrook and Gareth Yarnold.

Neil says: “We have landscaped gardens as well as a bowling green to look after, and work hard to keep everything looking its best all year round.  The gardens have a very positive effect on the wellbeing of the people living here, and it is fantastic to have achieved this independent recognition again.”

The village was presented with a trophy and certificate by the Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth, Councillor Bill Sheppard and the Mayoress, Jill Sheppard.

150 people live at Richmond Coventry with residents ranging in age from 60 to 96!

The village offers a range of accommodation including independent village apartments where residents can receive as much support as they require, or they can opt for extra care (sometimes referred to as assisted living) in a one bedroom serviced apartment.  At the heart of the village is the nursing home providing an exceptional level of dedicated nursing care 24 hours a day.
