NURSING HOME AT RICHMOND NORTHAMPTON NOW OPEN FOR VIEWING
A state-of-the-art nursing home that will become a beacon for how nursing care should be delivered has now opened in Northampton and is available for viewing.
Featuring a wide range of care packages and accommodation to the highest standard, the 30 bed nursing home is at the heart of the new £21 million retirement village nearing completion at Grange Park.
The nursing home provides an exceptional level of dedicated nursing and personal care, with specialist staff on call 24 hours a day. Other living options at the village include serviced apartments, which offer assisted living, and independent village apartments. Personalised care is available throughout the village and residents can opt for as much or as little as they require.
Village manager Bridget Penney says: “Unlike most care homes, which can typically have between 60 and 100 beds, we really are a nursing home with a difference and offer dedicated care to the individual within a vibrant retirement village community.
“We understand that choosing nursing accommodation for a loved one or close relative is a difficult and worrying decision, so we are delighted to welcome everyone to come in and have a look. The nursing home is right at the heart of the village with spacious, well-designed care bedrooms, some with balconies overlooking the landscaped gardens. We can even offer accommodation to relatives should they ever need to stay with us.”
Fully trained staff at Richmond Northampton can provide convalescent, respite and palliative care and the village will also benefit from the services of a visiting GP, a full-time social and recreational therapist and chiropodist.
All care bedrooms feature an en-suite shower room and state-of-the-art equipment that includes an electric profiling bed to ensure residents are comfortable day and night. For added peace of mind, each room is fitted with a personal alarm system.
The nursing home is fully integrated within the retirement village - where the property design reflects an attractive New England style architecture - and all residents have access to a superb range of facilities including a restaurant, café, shop and beauty salon.
The 42 serviced apartments at Richmond Northampton offer hotel-style services including all meals, beverages, cleaning and laundry, and as much personal care as is needed.
The purpose-built village also has 50 village apartments for independent living where residents can receive as much care and support, as they require. Demand for these is high and 40 have already been sold or reserved.
